Visiting Morro Bay during the holidays is an exciting time for kids of all ages. With tons of downtown shopping SLO opportunities to find the perfect for everyone on your shopping list and festive holiday events held throughout December, you’ll want to make sure to book your holiday vacations in advance as hotels get filled during this time. A hotel such as Blue Sail Inn, is centrally located so you won’t miss out on any of these fun, holiday events! 

Santa’s House in Embarcadero 

Ready for pictures with Santa? You and your family can come visit Santa at the Chess Board on the Embarcadero and get your picture taken with Santa. Santa will be available on 12/7/19, 12/8/19, 12/13/19, 12/14/19, 12/20/19 and 12/21/19 from 5pm-8pm. Mark your calendars today~

Tree Lighting Celebration  

Nothing kicks off Christmas the way an annual holiday tree lighting ceremony. On December 6th at City Park, head down and enjoy the festivities to get yourself in the holiday mood. There will holiday performances from local youth, cookies, hot cider and more! Festivities begin at 3:30pm. 

Friday Night Lights 

Get ready for the brightest parade on the water. Local large vessels and commercial boats will be sailing down Morro Bay for a fun and festive parade. Some of the participating boats include the Coast Guard, Harbor Patrol and other local vessels. Friday Night Lights takes place on December 6th. 

Holiday Paddle Parade

After the large vessels have their fun on Friday, on Sunday, December 8th, small vessels get to shine. Kayaks, small sailboats, surfboards and more get decorated for the holidays. There will also be prizes for best decorated will also be given out! The parade takes place at Coleman Park, from 11am to 1pm.
