Enjoy Fresh, Local Goodness at Morro Bay Butcher and Deli
Morro Bay Butcher & Deli is Morro Bay’s favorite stop for exceptional meats, delicious sandwiches, and unique groceries. Morro Bay Butcher & Deli aims to be the local’s choice that’s much friendlier than a chain supermarket or big box store. This customer-centered store focuses on providing local flavor, ethically sourced local ingredients, and friendly service.
Tasty Deli Sandwiches
Experience Morro Bay Butcher and Deli by tasting a fresh, custom sandwich. Sandwiches are served from 11 AM to 4 PM and include classics such as Turkey Club served on local sourdough, Cold Shoulder with shoulder bacon, or the Marlon Sando Italian on a French roll. Hot sandwiches include the delicious Brie Grilled Cheese, Hot Mess, and Pesto Chicken.
Exceptional Prime Cuts
They offer prime cuts of local meat such as chicken, beef, pork, and lamb. The butcher strives to utilize the whole animal, from nose to tail, so that nothing is wasted. Staff members are happy to recommend recipes and cooking instructions so that customers can enjoy every cut of meat.
Shoppers can use trim and bones to flavor stocks and broths. While Morro Bay Butcher & Deli offers prime cuts such as bacon, ribs, pork chops, and hams, it also offers fat bombs, lard, and head cheese.
Delicious Pre-Made Menu
Morro Bay Butcher & Deli has a pre-made menu if you don’t want to cook or need some inspiration. Pre-made options include Chicken Pot Pie, Lamb Lollipops, Kebabs, ready to cook Pork Chops, and pre-made salads. In addition, they offer daily specials such as Cuban sandwiches or Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup. Choosing a delicious ready-to-go meal is a great way to experience Morro Bay Butcher and Deli.
Focused on Sustainability
Morro Bay Butcher & Deli is focused on sustainability and reducing waste. The butcher aims to use all animal parts so that nothing is wasted. In addition, shoppers can use veggie cutting and scraps in soup stock and add flavor to dishes.
Seventy-five percent of the meats sold in the butcher shop are locally sourced. Grass-fed beef comes from Molnar Castle in Cayucos. The Rudnick Cattle Co in San Luis Obisbo supplies grain-finished beef. The butcher shop sells pasture-raised chicken from Autonomy Farms in Bakersfield. The NZ Ranch in Edna supplies their pork.
If the butcher has any leftover tenderloin or tri-tip, it is roasted and sold as a ready-made meal. Any additional leftovers are donated to The Lions Club Morro Bay Community Dinners, held once a week.
Enticing Grocery Options
In addition to quality meats, sandwiches, and pre-made meals, Morro Bay Butcher & Deli offers grocery options to help you complete your meal. You can find gourmet cheeses, charcuterie, and spice blends. In addition, the grocery area carries local goodies such as Stonewall Kitchen sauces, mustards, and aiolis.
