For a fun and family friendly experience, heading to the Morro Bay Natural History Museum is a great idea. It’s the perfect way to get outdoors and learn all about the natural history of the Morro Bay area as well as learning new facts you never knew before. For example, did you that Morro Bay is a National Estuary? This means its a location where fresh water meets the sea. After you’re done learning more about the area, consider heading to the morro bay skateboard museum for added fun.

The Morro Bay Natural History Museum is built to be accessible for families with kids of all ages. It’s a great opportunity to get your kids understanding more about the natural habitat of the area as well as learning about environmental issues that affect the area. The museum has an emphasis on both hands on and interactive learning exhibits that provide information on tidal forces, erosion geology and more.

The Morro Bay Natural History Museum is located in the heart of Morro Bay State Park so if you’re planning on exploring the state park, consider stopping by the museum to learn more information. The location of the museum also offers beautiful panoramic views of the bay and the iconic Morro Rock. The museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Adults get in for just $3 and children 17 and younger get in for FREE.
