Are you thinking about visiting Morro Bay? While the area is beautiful year round, there are certain things to look out for during particular seasons. Read on for some great reasons to visit Morro Bay during the Spring!

Fresh Seafood

Being located right by the bay has its perks. Not only do you have beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, you also have access to fantastically fresh seafood! Morro Bay is actually one of the last working waterfronts in the state where you can still enjoy sustainably caught wild fish right from the ocean! So you can get your seafood that is high in antioxidants and Omega-3s and feel good about it too.

It’s Less Crowded

The off season in the area is from October to May. Don’t let the term ‘off season’ fool you though. Visiting Morro Bay in the off season means much more relaxed vibes as the beaches and towns are much less crowded. Visiting during the spring means you’ll be at the end of the off season, which means you’ll enjoy warmer weather than you would during the winter time.

The California Super Bloom

Morro Bay and the surrounding area is known for beautiful wildflowers that bloom during the Spring. On years with more than average rain falls, locals and visitors alike can behold the beauty of a ‘super bloom’ where the increased rain means more wildflowers! Enjoy all the vibrant colors during the spring season.
